The new cadastral values available online
The Land Registry will communicate over the internet the updated the values of property, the new assessed valuations will be effective as from next January the 1st, 2011. The address where we can get this information, according to data provided by the Ministry of Finance is www.sedecatastro.gob.es and, since last Wednesday September 15th ,owners of properties registered in the Land Registry can get electronic notification of the new assessed valuations of their property.
The world’s most expensive penthouse
According to “The Financial Times” a real estate operation in Monaco will hold the new record for the world’s most expensive housing, if the information provided is correct. It is the sale of a penthouse in the Belle Epoque building in Montecarlo, in the very heart of the Principality of Monaco, a penthouse of 1,625 square meters occupying the last two floors of the building.
The protagonists of the transaction are a Middle Eastern investor, British property developers Nick and Christian Candy and 240 million euros, the price of the world’s most expensive penthouse.
Increase in property sales in July 2010
The property sales in Spain increased during the month of July 2010 by 16.4% in relation to the same month in 2009. During July 2010, 43.838 sales operations were carried out, according to the details provided by the Spanish National Statistics Institute, INE, details obtained through the Property Registers with regards to the property rights.
Of the operations sealed, 51% of the sales correspond to new properties, these are 22.597 operations, and 48.5% second hand properties, which translates to 21.241 operations.
El Altet airport receives over 1 million passengers during August 2010
Aena, the Spanish airports and airspace company, has published on its website the air traffic statistics of passengers, operations and merchandise for the month of August 2010.
El Altet airport has seen its best summer since it opened its doors, the traffic registered during the months of June, July and August closed the best quarter of its life.
During the month of August, 1.114.066 passengers were registered, representing 0.5% more than in August 2009; 8.038 operations were done, 1.3% less than August 2009 and 245,26 tons of merchandise was transported. With these details, El Altet airport has become the 5th Spanish Airport for passenger traffic.
