New services at British consulates

The British consulates in the cities of Malaga and Alicante will offer a new service to UK citizens residing in these cities. In short these consulates will employ a civil servant to inform and warn citizens of the United Kingdom mainly about local urban issues, but also offer information and advice on health and social welfare. A measure backed by British representatives as a million UK citizens live in Spain.

This year's Plan E for Benitachell

The Plan E works for 2010 for the town of Poble Nou de Benitachell, Alicante, funded by the Local Investment Fund for Employment and Sustainability created by Royal Decree-Law 13/2009, of the 26^th of October, have already been approved.

The minor works approved in Benitachell Town Hall are:

- Improving access to local telecommunications.
- Recovery and conservation of the forest area in Kalmias.

Repairs to the Moraig beach after storms

The last heavy storms on the North of Costa Blanca have badly affected the Moraig Beach in Poble Nou de Benitachell (Alicante), causing landslides and impacting the parking area, which has been severely damaged.

After meetings with the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs and the reasearch provided by the Benitachell Town Hall, the repair works on the parking area of Moraig Cove have been approved.
