Rambling Excursions in Jávea during March 2010
Rambling is becoming a more and more popular pastime. Jávea municipality is ideal for taking up rambling, given its coastline and marvellous landscape. The Town Council has organised guided rambling excursions throughout the year for discovering and enjoying the beautiful Jávea countryside.
In March, two excursions have been organised taking in stages of the Community of Valencia 355 short route.
The first excursion will take place on Sunday 21 March and runs from Jávea Harbour to Cape San Antonio, taking in the recreation ground, Chapel, ‘Los Molinos’ and returning to Jávea Harbour. It is a circular route with a duration of around 3 hours and a low level of difficulty.
The second excursion will take place on Sunday 28 March and climbs to Montgó Massif Peak. Meeting point is the car park at Jávea Firing Range, route duration is 5 hours and it is more demanding than the previous route, its difficulty level being classed as medium-high.
For both of the routes described, you are recommended to bring water, snacks, suitable hiking footwear, warm clothing and, naturally, a camera to capture the magnificent views and to record for posterity your achievement of reaching Montgó Peak.
