Calpe’s Royal Yacht Club 7th Spanish Open Match Race

The 7^th Spanish Open yacht race will be held in Calpe’s Royal Yacht Club from 27 April to 1 May 2010. It is organised by Calpe’s Royal Yacht Club and the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFEV), under the jurisdiction of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) and with the backing of the Sailing Federation of the Autonomous Community of Valencia (FVCV).

It is an ISAF grade 1 event, sailed in TOM 28, with a maximum of four crew members, including the skipper, per yacht in open teams and five in all-women crews. The event will consist of a Round Robins, quarter-final, semi-finals and finals. The course will be windward / leeward with turns to starboard, and finishing towards the wind.

The prizes of the 7^th Spanish Open to be held on 27 April 2010, awarded by Calpe’s Royal Yacht Club to the skipper and the crew are:

First prize: 3,000€

Second prize: 2,000€

Third prize: 1,000€.
