2010 Formula 1 kicks off in Cheste
The first training sessions for the F1 pre-season will take place on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste, the kick-off for the 2010 Formula 1 season in Valencia.
The first meeting of 2010 will gather together all the Formula 1 World Championship teams, a chance for fans in the Community of Valencia to see Fernando Alonso’s first outing with his new Ferrari and all that is new for this racing season. Training sessions will take place on 1, 2 and 3 February 2010.
2010 has got off to a good start for the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste, since its calendar for this year includes three world championship events: the Superbike World Championship on 11 April 2010, the World Touring Car Championship on 19 September 2010 and the Community of Valencia Moto GP on 7 November 2010.
Among new events for 2010 are the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) which will be held for the first time in Valencia on 23 May 2010 and will feature the racing world’s highest horse-power engine touring cars. The DTM at the circuit in Valencia offers us the opportunity to enjoy watching the skills of the biggest names in car racing – Ralf Schumacher, Gary Paffett and Mathias Lauda, among others – who will take our breath away at the wheels of spectacular Audi and Mercedes cars.
Also scheduled is a Spanish Speedtrack Championship event, the Bancaja Birth of Champions Mediterranean Motorbike Trophy, the Spanish GT Championship arriving along with a Formula 3 event, the León Cup and the 207 Cup on 25 April, whilst in July there will be a Ferrari Racing Days competition.
